Posting Policy

Dreams Across America educates the public on issues associated with immigrants and immigration in American life. We seek to generate a non-partisan, respectful, open dialogue about immigration and the common dreams we in this country share. We solicit user generated content in the form of video. We intend to post such video our site subject to the following policy:

• Target maximum length is three minutes. We may in our discretion decide to leave video of greater duration on the site, but for featured video, we will show the first three minutes.
• We seek stories, not polemics. Please tell us your stories, your dreams and how immigration impacts you.
• Because this is a nonpartisan web site, and in order to protect the 501(c)(3) status of certain sponsors, any candidate electioneering or commercial messages are prohibited.
• We seek respectful content, including humor, story telling and even parody. We will not accept video that is obscene, defamatory, offensive or abusive. We retain the right to screen and reject content for any reason.
• Videos must not infringe any copyright, right to privacy or right of publicity, or infringe or violate any other rights of anyone else. Any submitter of video must first obtain any necessary rights or releases to publish the video.
• Videos reflect only the view of the authors, and no endorsement by Dreams Across America is implied. We take no responsibility for material provided by members of the public.

We also create our own content. We select that content based on finding and creating videos of compelling stories.
