Dream Across America Tour: Tell Us Your Story
Everybody is from somewhere.

Please view our posting policy before sharing a story.

Tell your Most Inspiring Story
The most important part of this movement is you. So tell us your story, your family’s story, your neighbor’s story. Tell us a story that inspires and compels and helps people understand that we all come from somewhere, that we all dream, and that if we all work together, our dreams can come true.

Why Tell your Story?
Because getting to know someone personally is one of the best ways to stop discrimination. We want to make the immigration policy debate about real people, not about abstract concepts. Your story is the best evidence we have that the United States is a great nation because of immigrants.

Story Subjects
Your story will make the biggest impact if it is focused and specific. We are looking for immigration stories of all kinds, including how you or your parents or grandparents came to the United States. But we are also looking for stories that reveal how important immigrants are to our culture and our economy.

Remember—you don’t have to tell your own story. Perhaps your parents, your friends, a classmate or coworker, an organization or business is doing something that makes you proud.

In addition to traditional stories, we are also looking for creative and unusual approaches to asking what it means to be an immigrant. Be funny, be serious, be experimental, be subtle—whatever best communicates your story.
